"Lead singer Peter Barnato rekindles the golden era of gritty voice lead singers, while the rest of the band carries a thrusting and quivering ferocity that yearns of Blind Melon and The Black Crowes." (Glide Magazine)

“In a world of pseudo-sexual anarchy, Moondog Matinee is the real deal.” (The Source News

Already taking their hometown of Reno by storm, the band have been selected as a  Red Bull Sound Select artist, performed at the Inaugural Life is Beautiful Music Festival in Las Vegas, NV and have been voted the “Best Band in Northern Nevada” by the Reno News and Review.

The Hurt Project new EP release "After the Storms"

The Hurt Project have been featured on this blog previously (see original post here), and I am only too pleased to announce the release of their latest EP, "After the Storms".

Staying true to their blues roots, the four tracks on this release highlight the many talents of this New York City outfit. With slick guitar from Marlon Hurt, the tight rhythm section of Donald Facompre (Bass Guitar) and Michael "The Bull" LoBue (Drums), plus the screaming harmonica of Michael "The Bull" LoBue and the sultry vocals of Jasmin Lloyd, this EP shines on every note. If electric blues excites you, then this will make you jump! Another winner in my book.

The original songs on "After the Storms" showcase The Hurt Project's dedication to honoring classic blues by writing new blues in the band's own voice.

The Hurt Project is pursuing a new take on the blues, while staying true to the musical traditions that make the blues great. Based in NYC, THP has released a studio album of standard blues tunes, was included in two Hurricane Sandy benefits, and completed a tour of Montana where they played 30-person venues and up to 2,000-person festivals. THP gigs regularly around NYC.
