15 Year-Old Guitar Prodigy Ray Goren Releases "Songs For You" EP

MUSICAL PRODIGY RAY GOREN RELEASES “SONGS FOR YOU”

Five –Song EP Produced By Grammy Award Winner Steve Jordan

Los Angeles, CA: At 15 years old, Ray Goren has already been noted as a musical prodigy, performing with guitar and songwriting legends such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Bonnie Raitt. As a singer and multi-instrumentalist, Ray began playing guitar and writing his own music before he turned seven and performing onstage soon after. On August 21, 2015, Goren will bring his talents to the masses with the release of Songs For You, his debut EP on Jay Vee Records, produced by Grammy Award winning artist Steve Jordan.

Songs For You is comprised of five songs: four original tracks, “Those Days,” “Down & Out,” “Song For Me,” and “It’s On You” as well Ray’s sultry cover of “Light My Fire.” The lead single, “Those Days” is a bouncing, piano driven tune with influences of gospel, funk and 60’s soul. The track was released to radio on July 13th and is about how Ray sees the world today. The lyrics center as a conversation about current events and the struggle between peace and strife, quite an insightful look into the thought process of this young artist. “It’s a great way to introduce Ray to the world,” says Jordan .

In reflecting on Goren, Steve Jordan continues: “I’ve worked with a ton of great and legendary musicians in my career and Ray is one of the most gifted artists I’ve ever witnessed. The fact that he is so good, at this age, just blows my mind.” Jordan has worked with Keith Richards, Beyonce, The Verbs, John Mayer, Bob Dylan, Alicia Keys, The Pretenders, Neil Young and Kelly Clarkson.

Songs For You, will make its debut on Jay Vee Records, a boutique record company founded by Steve Jordan and Meegan Voss to fully focus the artists
and to support their music.
