Jimmy D.Lane, Son of Blues Legend Jimmy Rogers, Releases First Blues Album In 12 Years

Austin, TX - June 9, 2015: Jimmy D. Lane, son of late blues musician Jimmy Rogers, is releasing  "It’s All Good" - his first album in 12 years that will feature many different styles of blues tunes. Lane plans to record the album at Arlyn studios in Austin, TX, a top-of-the-line recording studio where Stevie Ray Vaughan, Willie Nelson, and Gary Clark Jr. have recorded their masterpieces. The album will consist of new blues and rock songs, some of which Lane has already written while on tour with his band, Blue Earth. Lane plans to release the new album at the end of 2015 with fresh tracks and a few covers, including an undisclosed track by Johnny Winters. Fans can expect to hear hard rockin’ blues, similar to “What Makes People” and slow burners like, “Bleeding Heart.”

“My family is the most important part of
my life and I’ve been able to enjoy my
time with them, but I feel like now is a
great time to return to my other passion,
music. Making music is what keeps me
going, and I know that it would make my
dad proud to carry on a generation of
blues music. I’m using this album as a way
to explore the past and future of blues.”
