John Lindberg Trio has been one of the hardest working band’s in Sweden for many years. They’ve played every single rock venue worthy of their name in the country. If there’s a stage and electric power is available, they’ve most likely been there!
They describe their sound as a mix of Beatles, Steve Earle, Stray Cats, The Sonics, Elvis, Led Zeppelin and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. It may look a bit schizophrenic but it don’t sound a bit weird, they mix whatever influences they come across. As a result JLT has created an outstanding signature sound of their own.
Their latest album “DiG iT” was released in May 2014 and entered the Swedish album chart at #5. All three singles from the album were added by national radio in Sweden. On this album they also started to collaborate with other composers, for instance Per Gessle from Roxette took a liking to the band and gave them a song that they then reworked together.
“DiG iT” also features a guest appearance by the great US Americana artist Marti Brom.
A new video was just recently released of the song “Honky Tonkin” from the album”
