Sydney blues singer/guitarist Gareth Jay releases knock-out self-titled EP

Gareth Jay is an emerging Australian blues musician, and he has just released his self titled EP which promises to provide a delicate taste of Blues for those who crave it.

The EP presents a collection of original songs which act as an introduction to Gareth Jay. He encapsulates deep and traditional Blues with his emotive vocals and his intricate guitar skills. It demonstrates the range of his unique, creative style and his technical skills. Writing his own music, and producing his own tracks, Gareth Jay finds his home in Blues but takes inspiration from Jazz, Indie, Rock, and Classical. These styles have a place in these compositions and can be noted in his harmonies, layering of guitar and overall feel.

Most often you will see him performing live with a loop pedal. This allows him to construct guitar and vocal harmonies on the fly, which has of course imprinted on his recorded compositions. A well rounded taster EP, acting teaser to Gareth Jay's first full album expected May 2015.
