Echo Sparks was started by DA Valdez (member of the national touring and recording act, The Pontiac Brothers). He formed the band as an outlet for his original songs. The BMI published songwriter joined up with local vocalist CC Kinnick and the two formed a duo performing at a variety of venues around Orange County. They added bass player Cindy Ballreich to form a solid trio that has become the nucleus of their sound. After more than three years of performing at bars, restaurants, and festivals they have honed their craft and created a signature sound of sparkling instrumentation and tight vocal harmonies. The bands' songs create images and stories that transcend time and place - songs for every mood.

In 2013 the band recorded an EP with four songs. They have now completed "Ghost Town Girl", their first full length album.
