The Fake Carls....blues rock from New single and video release

The Fake Carls - a band in the making

The Fake Carls released an EP in April 2013 and a single, "Give Me (Return of the Schlobster)", on December 5th.  They also have a music video for that single coming out on January 9th, 2014.  They are all living in New Orleans.

Their story is quite simple, although a tad bit strange.  Steve (the lead guitarist) and Julie Wischan (vocals) went to the same high school in New Hampshire and both decided to attend Loyola New Orleans for its awesome music industry program.  It was there that they met Carl.  The three of them were inseparable and did everything together.  They sometimes would "jam" on covers in Carls' dorm room.  After a year of school, Carl decided that he missed his home in Washington and so he transferred schools.  Since the dynamic of friendship between Julie and Steve changed, they started writing music and named the band after Carl.  Once they added members Caleb (bassist) and Randy (drummer), they began playing shows and recording music.  They are hoping to start touring soon and are working on recording basic tracks for a new EP that will be coming out next semester.

The Boston Boys..NYC, NY....roots, soul, bluegrass and everything in between

I had the pleasure of catching these guys live at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, Malta on November 30th and was wowed by their musical abilities, professionalism and entertainment value. They are worth checking out if you haven't already and you'll be more than pleasantly surprised.

The Boston Boys are:
Eric Robertson- Mandolin, Guitar, Vocals

Inspired by bedrock musicians such as The Beatles, Paul Simon, and Bill Monroe, The Boston Boys are an American band crossing genres with more modern artists like D'Angelo, The Wood Brothers, and Wilco. By design, their pure and fierce energy is an experience intended to move every listener's musical touchstones.
